The Cabin

With two bedrooms and a day bed, the Cabin comfortably sleeps four people. It has 1.5 bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, a wood-burning stove, and in-unit laundry. Throughout the cabin you will find custom woodwork, handcrafted by the owner with locally sourced specialty lumber. The three porches, front and back yards offer ample opportunities to enjoy the fresh air and stunning views! The garage is not included in the rental, and the cabin does NOT have a TV, air conditioning, or a dishwasher.

The Area

Nestled in the rural Mission Valley, Bison View Cabin is a quiet, tranquil property surrounded by stunning mountain, creek, and valley views. Additionally, the Cabin is conveniently located within driving distance of Missoula, Polson, Glacier National Park, and dozens of recreation areas, making it the ideal base camp for adventurous vacations. We have created an extensive guidebook via our Airbnb page to help guests navigate the many things to do in this area!

About The Hosts

Suzie & Rusty

We have lived in Montana for over 40 years! I was a bookkeeper and manager for a real estate agency for 10 years, and Rusty co-owns a sawmill north of St. Ignatius. We have two children: Daniel is a licensed electrician & he married a wonderful Montana gal named Abby, they are expecting their 1st baby in March of 2027. Our daughter Brooklin is going to school to be a veterinarian. Even though our kids have "left the nest," our fur babies (one dog and four cats) still keep us company! Our favorite aspects of living in Montana are the stunning scenery and access to incredible hunting, fishing, cross country skiing, and hiking. Each one of us has worked on the cabin remodeling. Rusty led the renovations with the help of the kids & Suzie. Suzie manages the bookings, cleaning, yardwork & maintenance.

We live across the yard from the cabin, and we are here if you need anything during your stay!

"This place is even more beautiful than the pictures show! If you want to experience the true beauty and peace of Montana this is the place to stay. Our hosts provided plenty of firewood for the outdoor fire pit and the indoor wood burning stove. The cabin was stocked with everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. Suzie was always available if we had a question, but we were also given absolute privacy. I highly recommend this place, and I can't wait to stay again."

"We would highly recommend staying here! Beautiful view out of every window. Quiet and peaceful. Lots of deer and birds. You can spot the bison in the Bison Range from the deck with a set of binoculars. Great WiFi and only a few minutes from town. Wood stove kept us warm but there's also electric heat throughout.
You can definitely tell there's been a lot of thought and care put into the build and setup of the cabin as a rental. Suzie has stocked the kitchen and bathroom with every little thing you can imagine; by far the most stocked Airbnb we've stayed in."

"This place is a gem! The wood stove was stocked and ready for us when we arrived. All we had to do was light the kindling. They’ve put together a great local guidebook with lots of recommendations and tips. The house is stocked with just about anything you may want or need. Suzie is very quick at responding and they are very accommodating. Loved the area. So peaceful and quiet. Our daughter wanted to visit the bison range and this property just about borders the back side of it. Great place, great location, and great hosts!"
